Accreditation Requirements

For a program to be accredited by CHEQS, it must meet the following criteria:

  1. Education: Require relevant courses from a qualifying program, an accredited institution, or a government-regulated educational body.

  2. Assessment: Courses and exams must be hosted and provided by an accredited institution.

  3. Experience: Require sufficient relevant skills and experience in the field.

  4. Continuing Education (CE): Participation in ongoing continuing education is mandatory for maintaining certification.

  5. Ethics: Adherence to a professional code of ethics by all members.

CHEQS recognizes and accredits professional development education bodies, ensuring that graduates of programs and government-recognized courses and assessments meet recognized quality standards.
